RfL is set for a big return

I have been away from producing for a while. I had other things I had to deal with, such as getting my freelance design stuff flowing again.

Hey, life happens. We here in the RfL podquarters had a rough patch, as so many others are having now, and we had to shift accordingly. So, shift we did, now it is time to make some more noise.

So, soon--no date as of yet to keep myself safe--the return of both the animated adventures and RfL 2.0 will be dropping.

I can't wait. It has been for too long and I have a lot of built up emotion I have to unload.

So, lets get back into the swing, eh?

Cheers,

2008 is going to be a big year!

I really do believe that 2008 will be a great year. So far, things have been going terrific for Reaching for Lucidity Productions, and the momentum seems to be growing.

I have made a few changes. I have a new logo, for instance. The old dragon logo was alright, but I think the new owl logo is not only more fun and in the spirit of RfL, but the owl better represents the concept of lucidity.

There are new shows as well. The Behind the Curtain Diary is picking up steam, as is the launch of the Animated Adventures. And just when you tought they were over, Quickjabs and Turns Classic are rejoining the main show, RfL 2.0, to bring great podsfae music to your ears.

Thanks for sticking with RfL, this year will bring a lot more quality entertainment your way.

And for those that want even more, you are at the right place. Podshow, and my fellow producers, are also growing at an astronomical rate. Check out all of the great entertainment here at Podshow!

Cheers to you all! ;-)

Mondays get me down (or something to that effect)

I can't really tell what it is about Monday, but as you may have noticed, I have a hard time getting shows out. I am averaging 2 a month, or every other week. I try to get into the mood to do shows on Monday, but normally I don't get really excited until Tuesday. Wierd, huh?

As you may tell from this post, I am having trouble getting the podcast out today yet again. I am lacking motivation.

Now that I have spotted the problem, the question is how do I deal with it? Do I drop Monday? Do I go to an official twice a month Monday show? Do I make Monday a day where I just pop out a special RfL when I am inclined? I have some thinking to do.

I really do not understand why I get so motivated come Tuesday, raring to drop a podcast on the world. What difference does a day really make? Is it that I just love the idea of three day weekends too much?

My fear is that if I force myself to do Monday shows when I do not want to do them, I may lose my drive to podcast. The great thing about this is even though I am now signed, paid, and sponsored, I am still not "forced" to do these shows. I still do them because I enjoy bringing the music and segments to my listeners.

Maybe from now on Monday should just be a whenever show. A special show that adds to the week rather than a set in stone scheduled event.

What the hell is it about Monday? Anybody have an idea? Anybody else have this much trouble with Monday?

So, I guess I will be with you all tommorow, psyched and ready to go!

Cheers!

The Countdown Begins!

Well, as of today Faith and I started our trip through the "one last Time" events here in England. Our gas and electricity are handled on pre-paid cards, we go at the beginning of the month and purchase the amount we need for the said month. Well, by this time next month, our feet will be firmly planted on Bay Area soil, which makes that the last time we need to purchase our energy. Things are definitely becoming more real now.

In a couple of days I have to start making the calls to tell SKY Satellite, the T.V. license folks, the phone company, Tiscali broadband, and so on, to halt our services. I also have to make the 30 day notice to our landlord and finalize our banking. It is cool that the end of our England adventure is so near, but I have to say, I still hate taking care of the details like the things above.

Next up is the plane tickets, the moving company, and trying to get rid of, and possibly make a few bucks off of, the things we will not be taking. That includes almost every electrical device as the devices are not compatible in the US. Oh, the fun!

Still, this is all coming to a great ending. We will be back home!

To say the least, the show will suffer over the next few weeks. I have an announcement to make on how I will handle the next few weeks shortly.

Cheers everyone!
